Superior Suite

The Superior Suites are tastefully furnished with local art and antiques, a separate sitting room with comfortable sofas, high ceiling, polished teak wood floor, spacious bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower. All suites feature air conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV, Edwardian cabinet and a personal safe. All suites are serviced by a team of butlers, 24-hours a day.
There is only one double beds in Superior Suite category.
Deluxe Suite

The Deluxe Suites are nicely decorated with local art and antiques. They each have separate sitting room with comfortable sofas, high ceiling, polished teakwood floor, spacious bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower as well as King size bed or 2 Queen size beds. Each Deluxe Suite features air conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV, Edwardian cabinet and a personal safety box. All suites are serviced by a team of butlers, 24-hours a day.
Strand Suite

The Strand Suite is the largest suite with nearly 200m2 in size. This Suite features a four-poster bed with a separate entrance way to a small study with desk. There’s also a comfortable living room, a dining room with attached butler’s pantry, a large marble bathroom, a separate guest bathroom and a sunroom overlooking the Yangon River. Besides the special features, it is also equipped with the same facilities as the other suites.
Strand Cafe Restaurant

With large, teak-framed windows look out onto scenic Strand road, the Strand Cafe has the perfect vantage point from which to observe daily life in the city. This restaurant is decorated in elegant style with black-lacquered ceiling fans, dining chairs of sturdy egg-cane rattan and ceiling lamps that give the meandering room, with all its intimate spaces, an air of timelessness. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are served daily, with the menu featuring both Western and Burmese cuisine.It is also ideal for Classical or Myanmar High Tea entertained by Myanmar Harp and Xylophone musicians.
Strand Grill Restaurant

The Strand Grill restaurant is one of Yangon’s most elegant dining rooms with an elegant decor and a lighting system that gives an elegant and luxury ambience. The Strand Grill is dressed with large black-lacquered prints from Bagan with a vaulted ceiling, a skylight and exquisite chandeliers throughout. Gentle classical guitar music completes its refined mood. It is opened for dinner only (and lunch on request).

Our Comment on The Strand Hotel
Managed by GHM, this more than a century old property provides the backdrop of rich British Burmese Colonial history and adds value to the stay. The classic interior itself is nothing spectacular, or maybe a little basic for an expectation of the high end luxury boutique hotel. However, the butler service on top of a dedicated management makes up for it. There is no swimming pool.
